The V3 Pulsar builds on the already impressive potential of the original Pulsar for L5P and features an entirely redesigned performance strategy. Pulsar V3 now adjusts 4 major components to build power safely: injection pulse width, injection timing, fuel rail pressure, and airflow. We've also revamped our shift strategy for improved shifting across the board. The new V3 performance strategy adds 50% more power as compared to the original. The V3 Pulsar: The Best Just Got Better!
The V3 Pulsar is all about bringing together powerful tuning, safety features, ease of installation, and direct control over your driving experience. The new PN 22402 for 2017-2019 L5P Duramax and the PN 22401 for the 2020-2023 L5P Duramax, are the most advanced performance products in the L5P aftermarket. The 2017+ L5P diesel trucks are some of the best that GM has ever released and right off the showroom floor, they are impressive. The V3 Pulsar, however, completely changes the driving experience to optimize performance and drivability in every setting. Whether you're towing or daily driving, the Pulsar provides an instant improvement in performance, and throttle response. The Pulsar also includes adjustment features that allow you to account for any changes you've made to your truck. Calibrate your speedometer for tire and gear changes, read and clear diagnostic trouble codes, adjust your TPMS settings on your new wheel/tire setup, or even adjust your speed limiter. After installing the Pulsar, the only thing you'll wonder is why you didn't equip your L5P with the Pulsar sooner.
We took the Pulsar to the track to showcase the gains that you can get in a pure performance setting. We tested multiple runs both stock and on level 5 of the Pulsar. The gains were extremely impressive! We saw an average gain of nearly 3/4 of a second in the 1/4 mile with no changes outside of the Pulsar tune.
 Stock: 14.93 @ 92.32
Pulsar Level 5: 14.17 @ 98.44
*When physically changing ring and pinion gears in the late model GM trucks, the factory cruise control will be disabled. While the Pulsar will allow you to recalibrate the speedometer for that gear change, it will not re-activate the disabled cruise control system. GM has this feature laced into the engine calibration files and would require full ECM tuning to enable cruise again.
